Donation Office

The AANS Board of Directors' Policy Manual states that the objectives of the Archives Committee are --

1. To facilitate acquisition of documents and materials not presently possessed by the Association which are significant to further understanding of the establishment and development of the AANS and the development of Neurological Surgery as a medical specialty.

2. To establish an organized repository at the National Office for documents and materials essential to an understanding of the historical development of the Neurosurgical Specialty and the AANS.

3. To review and evaluate present procedures related to the video tape interviews with individuals who have contributed significantly to the development of neurological surgery.
