In 1980, a series of 10 video-interviews of senior and prominent leaders in neurosurgery were produced for the 50th Anniversary Meeting of the AANS. The interviews were primarily of those who had trained with, or knew, Dr. Harvey Cushing and other early neurosurgeons. Subsequently, the program was expanded to include other neurosurgeons, neurologists, and neuroscientists in North America. In 1990, interviews began of colleagues in the clinical and basic neurosciences in other countries.
